With the MiC 4.0 database, construction machinery manufacturers are driving the digitalization of the construction machinery market and creating more transparency. Machines that meet and are validated to the MiC 4.0 standard can therefore be found easily and reliably.

Manufacturers and users alike benefit from this: Construction companies, landlords, dealers, and other buyers get a compact overview, have comparison options, and find the right machine more quickly. Manufacturers who publish their machines in the database increase the visibility of their offerings and contribute to making construction processes more digital and efficient.

Many well-known manufacturers are already using the MiC 4.0 database. Particularly relevant for users is broad coverage of the respective machine portfolios. Currently, this includes Wacker Neuson (Group) with 46 machines, Liebherr (Group) with 38 machines, Bomag with 23 machines, Schwing with 22 machines, and Ammann with 14 machines. With their commitment, these companies are fulfilling the wish of customers and machine users for simpler, more efficient, and digitized construction processes.

„Every published machine offer makes the digital construction machinery market more transparent and easier for users to find the right machine. This is exactly what the MiC 4.0 database thrives on,“ says the MiC 4.0 office, „we encourage every manufacturer to test their own machines according to the MiC 4.0 standard and upload them to the database!“

Digitalization is also gaining momentum in road construction. This increases the demands on all involved.

Different systems such as software, construction machinery, and sensors must be able to be seamlessly integrated into the construction process. This requires a continuous system landscape with uniform interfaces. In the newly founded "Construction Process Interfaces" working group, system manufacturers and construction companies are working together on open solutions to standardize data exchange in Road Construction 4.0. At the same time, the members are laying the foundation for more sustainable road construction in order to better utilize machinery, reduce traffic jams, and lower CO₂-To minimize emissions and improve quality.

The working group sees itself as the central point of contact for this topic and encourages other system providers, construction companies, and participants in the value chain to collaborate in identifying challenges and jointly developing solutions.
