MiC 4.0 establishes working group for construction process interfaces
Digitalisation is also picking up speed in road construction. As a result, the demands on everyone involved are growing.
It must be possible to seamlessly link different systems such as software, construction equipment and sensors in the construction process. This requires a consistent system landscape with standardised interfaces. In the newly founded Construction Process Interfaces working group, system manufacturers and construction companies are working together on open solutions to standardise data exchange in road construction 4.0. At the same time, the members are creating the basis for more sustainable road construction in order to better utilise machines, reduce congestion times, minimise CO2 emissions and improve quality.
The working group sees itself as a central point of contact for this topic and encourages other system providers, construction companies and participants in the value chain to help identify challenges and develop solutions together. The basis for this is the agreement on standardised interface descriptions for the exchange of construction process data. MiC 4.0 publishes and disseminates the results of its work free of charge via www.vdmashop.de.
