The goal is the development of standards for the structures, processes, and symbols for operating mobile work machines. For this purpose, the structures, processes, and symbols will be examined using three widely used machine types (rollers, wheel loaders, asphalt pavers) and the greatest possible uniformity of recognition and operation on a nearly uniform display will be developed.

In the field of attachments, users and machine manufacturers have jointly developed new and essential symbols for operating the respective machine.
