MiC 4.0 Structure and Management Board
MiC 4.0 is a working group operated by the VDMA in cooperation with the German Construction Industry Federation (HDB). It was founded on April 8, 2019 at bauma. From the VDMA, members of the following trade associations in particular are addressed:
- Construction machinery and building material plants
- Software and digitization
- Electrical automation
- Fluid Power
- Drive Technology
- Engines and systems
The topic of research is also of particular importance and is given full scope through the affiliation with the Research Association for Construction Machinery and Building Material Plants (FVB). This means that there is always the possibility of investigating problems within the framework of pre-competitive joint research and researching new approaches to solutions across all sectors.

The managing director of the MiC 4.0 working group is Dr. Darius Soßdorf, who has been involved in the topic of digitization from the very beginning.
