A working group – a unified language
Manufacturers of construction machinery in the VDMA (Mechanical Engineering Industry Association for Construction Equipment and Building Materials) and construction companies in the HDB (German Construction Industry Association) founded the new working group as a cooperative project on April 8, 2019, at bauma. Their goal is to develop unified, cross-manufacturer, and machine-independent digital communication for the entire construction process. Since then, interest has been steadily growing. The working group now has over 130 members from eight European countries. Any interested company involved in the digitalization of construction sites can become a member.
