Machine Data
M2B Communication - Machine to BIM Communication
An essential aspect of the services desired by users is the usability of the data obtained in Building Information Modeling – BIM for short.
The same data streams and data formats from the System Architecture/Data Formats area can be used for this.
The short-term goal is the simplified use and maintenance of BIM due to binding and manufacturer-independent data interfaces to BIM.
Machine to Machine Communication
Machine-to-machine communication
Machine-to-machine communication is a very important aspect of digitalization. The vision for the distant future is the fully automated construction site.
Short-term goal in the area of M2M communication and in the responsible unit
The Working Group System Architecture/Data Formats is the vendor-neutral and machine-independent agreement on a uniform transmission of data to the respective same channel and in the same sending/data format.
This can thus eliminate the need for a later, time-consuming „translation“ and adaptation of the data.
ISO 15143-3 - A common understanding of data.
Machines already provide a variety of data today, but this data differs from machine type to machine type, is output on different transmission channels, and in different formats.
The short-term goal of the Machine Data working group is to reach a unified understanding, across manufacturers, of the data provided by machines. Initially, the focus will be on pure machine data such as on/off, operating hours, etc.
For this purpose, experts analyze the applicability of ISO 15143-3 in seven machine clusters to make this standard usable for the present requirements.
Cluster 1 – Earthmoving Machinery
Cluster 2 – Hoisting Gear
Cluster 3 – Special Foundation Engineering Machinery
Cluster 4 – Road Construction Machinery
Cluster 5 – Concrete Technology
Cluster 6 – Processing Technology (Not yet active)
Cluster 7 – Attachments
Cluster 8 - Electrically Powered Machines
In this first step, the focus is on machine status data.
Machine work data and data on the quality of work performed will follow in the subsequent work steps.
