Cluster 7 advances attachments digitally
With practical feedback, cloud integration and a look at version 1.2, Cluster 7 remains the driving force behind digital standards for attachments. The comment phase of the MIC 4.0 BUS protocol version 1.1.0 provides valuable feedback. Cluster 7 is evaluating this and integrating the feedback into further work - in particular as part of the next CAN-BUS & Safety Expert Meeting.
Version 1.2 in preparation
Looking ahead, the cluster is focusing on the upcoming protocol version 1.2. The first draft is scheduled for early 2026. The new version is expected to support significantly more attachment types and extended functionalities.
Cloud solutions as a driver of innovation
Work is also underway on the cloud integration of attachment data. The aim is smarter, digital use of attachments - directly transferable to everyday machine use.
