MiC 4.0 General Meeting 2024
With increasing membership numbers and the release of the new test tool, the database and the MiC 4.0 bus, Dr. Darius Soßdorf was able to present a successful past year to the members of the working group.
MiC 4.0 now makes standards "tangible". Building on the results documents published in 2022 for all relevant construction machinery and their condition data based on ISO 15143, machine manufacturers can test their machine data before delivery to the customer using the MiC 4.0 test tool and transfer it to the MiC 4.0 database if the results are positive. This ensures that every user always receives the same data formats in accordance with ISO 15143 - regardless of the manufacturer and across all machines. In the MiC 4.0 database, anyone can publicly view which construction machines have been tested by which manufacturers and which data has been made available.
The MiC 4.0 BUS protocol (Ver. 1.0) for attachments has also been released. This protocol enables extensive data exchange between an attachment and an excavator, which can then be displayed on the existing OEM display. Any attachment can be changed on any excavator if both use the MiC 4.0 BUS protocol. This means no more retrofitting or long waiting times for conversion - a real plug-and-work solution.
